Jesus is getting ready to leave. He knows that there are two types of peace. One is from the world, but
this is only short term. However, the everlasting is from God through Jesus.
Romans 5:1
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"
Remember that Jesus is the way to the father. Once a person says that I accept Jesus as a personally savior. He/she
is saved.
Isaiah 9 :6
"For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And
the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful,
Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
The attributes of Jesus are described above. This is a prophecy of Jesus before he came.
Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My
yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
God's promise to you that is he wants to give you rest/peace. He is waiting for you to accept his rest/peace.
Romans 15:13
"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound
in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
The Apostle Paul speaks in the present moment that may the Lord give the Romans a complete filling of the Holy
Ghost. The Lord desires for mankind to love him and to be filled completely with his presence. This is the completeness of
the peace that God gives.
The Prayer of Faith
Jesus, you are Lord, and I believe in my heart and confess that you are my savior. You are the prince
of peace. Lord, give me peace. Please forgive me for my sins. Amen.
